Lately I've found that imperfection is what really makes me fall for an artist. Those off-kilter notes that scream reality; just an honest dude and his piano. If that's what you're into then Tobias Jesso Jr. is your man. His vintage authenticity is the real deal and he's just announced the release of his debut album Goon.

Signed to True Panther Sounds, Jesso will win you over with his lead single 'Hollywood'. Inspired by heartbreak and various challenges throughout his time in LA, there's a powerful rawness that'll make you stop and listen. Working with some big names over the past two years, Goon features production from JR White (Girls), Patrick Carney (Black Keys), and Ariel Rechtshaid (Vampire Weekend, Haim, Sky Ferreira).

The lyrics indicate that he's lost hope, but it's only just begun for one Tobias Jesso Jr. Your Mum will like it, your Dad will like it, and you'll like it too. Hell, your Nan might even like it. It's beautiful.

Goon is released March 17th (2015) as he sets off on his first headline tour. Not to mention some support dates with the equally old school Foxygen.
