Enjoy this sonic smorgasbord this sunny Saturday.

South Londoner Kwabs impressed us with his Pray For Love and Wrong or Right EPs earlier this year, and now he's shared his first proper single 'Walk', which got its first play earlier this evening on MistaJam's 1Xtra show.

Described as "my statement of intent: the first time I'm saying, here I am" by the man himself, it's a confident track with a massive hook that tells a story of drawing back from the pop cliche of having otherworldly invicibility, as he said in a statement "I wanted to look at the spirit of progression from a slightly different perspective, where you have to stop yourself rising to the drama of the moment." He continued:

“I’m really excited about 'Walk'. I wrote it late last year with Jonny Lattimer, about half-way through writing for the album. I guess it's about that age-old problem: 'I wanna stay but I've gotta leave...' I think people will get that. It is definitely coming at an exciting time for me too... I've had a hectic festival run this summer, performing at Wireless, Glastonbury, Latitude, and SGP and there are plenty more to come as well as my next London show at KOKO in October. I was humbled to see how quickly that one sold out and look forward to sharing more music and live experiences with my amazing fans.”

We're all eagerly awaiting the release of Jessie Ware's follow-up to 2012's Devotion,Tough Love. The title track was stunning (per usual), and today she's back with another gorgeous tune 'Say You Love Me'. It got its premiere earlier this evening as the Hottest Record in the World on Zane Lowe's Radio 1 show, and with good reason - it's a slow-burning, romantic track that sees Jessie crooning about a lover who won't reciprocate her feelings (honestly, who wouldn't?!). Her voice is the star once again, soaring above the simple percussion up until the latter half of the track until she's joined by a gospel choir and some more intricate, beats.

We love you, Jessie. We love you.

Los Angeles based songstress Zella Day has been capturing hearts one outstanding single at a time, and her newest, 'Compass', is no exception. She takes a step back from the sun-drenched synth lines of 'East of Eden' and 'Sweet Ophelia', giving us an emotional and breathtaking ballad that may just be the best thing we've heard from her so far. With just her voice, a beautiful piano line, and some quiet percussion, she's able to conjure up images of a hushed forest just after a rainfall as the sun breaks through the trees - still and gorgeous, but slowly coming back to life.

The only tag on this song is #Magic and, well, I ain't gonna argue with that. This is by a super-cool musicmaker called memory cards (everyone loves memory cards) and the track is called 'Fantasia Arc' or ☁ ~ Fantasia Arc ~ ☁ as has been stylised. The cover art is some fan drawing of Zelda and Link flying through azure skies: very apt.

It's a glistening entity, it's beautiful, it's dream-trap, as softly hard as it is intensely gentle, a brief look into a wholly magical world that sparkles with nostalgia as much as with new memories. This is just too pretty, Oliver's crying, I'm crying, we're all crying. Are you?

  • Artist: Yung Bleatha
  • Track Name: 'Luv'

Yung Bleatha is a rapper from the USA. Drip-133 is a producer from I dunno where (probably USA, too). Put 'em together and what do you get? You get 'Luv', a rap from Yung Bleatha that shows love for like, everyone (even haters – and it's easy to hate haters), set over the top of lush, funksome beats from Drip-133, all of it reverbing in a haze of narcotics and midday sun. You just gotta "take a pill that'll make you chill" instead of getting fazed by stupid stuff. Let's hold hands, there's a moment creeping up on us.
