Enjoy these glistening efforts, primarily from border-shattering producers and pop mavericks.

Rising 4AD producer SOHN released his debut album Tremors not too long ago, but he's already eagerly been working on new music while he's on the road. A result of that is his new song 'The Chase', which he states is a demo - although it's one of the better sounding demos I've ever heard. It's the sort of wind-swept, crystal clear production we've come to know and love from him with his voice shining through but not overpowering the song's icy beats.

  • Artist: Broods
  • Track Name: 'Four Walls'
  • Location: Auckland, New Zealand

New Zealand's Caleb and Georgia Nott, better known as Broods, revealed the dreary 'Mother and Father' last month. The sordid effort, for all of its refreshing glisten, was an emotionally dour product. Much of the off-kilter chemistry can be heard, yet again, on the duo's newest 'Four Walls'. The pace is driven much slower on the latter single, which is featured on the band's album Evergreen. Georgia, who champions the vocals, stirs a loving R&B tinge on Caleb's minimalist bedroom pop production, making for a fairly rousing combo.

  • Artist: Lowell
  • Track Name: 'LGBT'
  • Location: London, UK

We were pretty impressed by Lowell's last track, 'I Love You Money', and thankfully she's delivered again with her new song 'LGBT'. Over at Rookie she explained her beginnings as a struggling pop artist in London who "was making crappy pop shit and it sucked so much! I was torn, because I believed that I could make money [doing that], and then do whatever I wanted", but thankfully it's been upwards and onwards for the Canadian pop singer and 'LGBT' is a clear indicator of that maturation.

On 'LGBT' she calls out her haters and addresses social issues alike in a witty and super fun, infectious way, and you can stream it for yourself below. It's taken from her upcoming debut album We Loved Her Dearly, out on 16 September.

  • Artist: QT
  • Track Name: 'Hey QT'

QT have unveiled the full version of 'Hey QT', which you stream below (along with a statement about the project).

"So what, or who, is QT? She's a sparkling future pop sensation - albeit one who is set to warp and stretch the notion of what a pop star actually is. It's a drink, or more precisely a brand new Energy Elixir ("where organic and synthetic meet to stimulate an uplifting club sensation"). And it's a song, a moment - "Hey QT" - which sees these two producers pushing their sound to its very extreme and creating a future anthem in the process."

  • Artist: Synaesthete
  • Track Name: 'Luxury'
  • Location: London, UK

Here's a premiere from London lass Synaesthete (AKA Sarah Tanat-Jones), and her soon-to-drop audio-visual record, Array. In a gorgeous departure from her usual exultant drum punishing, 'Luxury' is a recumbent techno-pop slow-burner, with 606 hi-hat ripples and warm depth charges of bass threatening to conjure an Indian Summer. Some Tanat-Jones trademarks remain, though, in the nonchalant shakes of organic percussion and trippily pitch-shifted vocal breakdowns.
