"I do absolutely nothing. I go home and stay there. I wash and scrub up each day, and that's it. One month I actually grew a moustache, just so I could say that I'd done something." - Bill Murray

These are our five favourite songs from the past week:

5. Future Islands' 4AD Session

Ok, so it's actually five session tracks, but we can't get enough of them.

4. Peaking Lights - 'Everyone And Us' (dir. Robbie Simon)

The gradual drum machine aesthetics of Peaking Lights' latest track 'Everyone And Us' get a visual dimension in this colourful video featuring some cutout animation in various psychedelic dimensions, created by videomaker Robbie Simon. For something that we called a "cool, exotic piece of organic electronica" when it first hit our ears over here at The 405 Penthouse (there isn't one), it's a perfect fit. Casual, creamy, and quirky (almost had 3 C's there, would've won me the alliteration sweepstakes, but cuirky ain't a word), these are just the kind of mind-pleasing visuals you'd expect for such charming sounds. - Russell Thomas

3. Girlpool - 'Plants & Worms' (dir. Catleya Sherbow)

Animated by Catleya Sherbow, it's a beautifully crafted clip filled with gorgeous colours and textures following a day in the life of the purple-haired protagonist. - Tarynn Law

2. Ought - 'New Calm, pt. 2' (dir. Aaliyeh Afshar and Max Taeuschel)

Montreal band Ought came out with their debut full-length album More Than Any Other Day, but they're not stopping there. A continuation of last year's EP New Calm, on 28 October they'll release Once More With Feeling..., which contains 'New Calm, pt. 2'. The Aaliyeh Afshar and Max Taeuschel directed video is part performance video, part laundromat, part birthday party. - Tarynn Law

1. Seinabo Sey - 'Pistols at Dawn' (dir. Christian Larson)

Christian Larson has directed the new clip from R&B powerhouse Seinabo Sey for her latest single 'Pistols at Dawn'. The song is taken from her Magnus Lidehall-produced EP Madeline, which is due out on 17 November. Watch the dramatic video above. - Tarynn Law
