Mackenzie Scott, aka Torres, has announced a new album which is called Sprinter. It arrives a good while after her self-titled debut album dropped in 2013.

She shared some words regarding the lyrical content of the upcoming album:

"Whether it be abandonment, or fear of rejection, or perhaps inability to connect with people, comes down to that fear of isolation, of not being good enough. Those are themes that have cropped up in my personal life, in my writing, and my mom can definitely understand that herself."

Produced by Rob Ellis, who has also worked with PJ Harvey, and recorded with a band that includes featuring Adrian Utley (guitarist for Portishead) and Ian Oliver (PJ Harvey bassist), the album is due out on 5th May (US) and 18th May (UK/EU).
