We've been excited about BABii for a little while, with the releases of debut singles 'Phantom' and 'SEiiZURE', and it's only increasing with the release of new song 'CARNiiVORE' and the announcement of her debut album. The singer and producer's first album is called HiiDE and comes out through DeathWaltz Originals on July 5th. She tells us about the record:

"When writing it, I was still trying to keep a dying relationship alive, but it was falling apart because of secrets being kept, I was also his secret and there was a lot of things hidden between us.... All of the tracks are fragments of the same theme, and capture the album as a whole... It's such a diverse set of emotions that all bleed into one another, and also reflect each"

This has been evidenced in the tracks we've heard so far from BABii, which have been as vulnerable as they have been terrifying. 'CARNiiVORE' continues this thrilling trend with an admission early on "I fell in love with a carnivore"; whether the experience ate her alive or turned her into an equally vicious being is open for interpretation. As usual, 'CARNiiVORE' is ripe with BABii's neon synth style, the melodies unfurling with a spookily alluring lilt that arouses intrigue. It feels as though BABii is trying to send a warning with 'CARNiiVORE', but you're only going to get the full message if you step inside her three-dimensional production - by which point it might be too late to turn around.

BABii's debut album HiiDE is out July 5th. You can follow her on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter, and she has these live dates ahead:

5th May: Sounds of the Other City, Salford
