In recent years there's been no shortage of workaday schmo's releasing great lovelorn tracks from the heart, be it Mac DeMarco or Bad News Club, but when it's done just right it sounds as fresh as anything. That's where Boy Pablo comes in. The 19-year-old Norway-based, Chilean-born singer Pablo Muñoz makes angsty and lightweight bedroom pop jams, which have swung their way straight into the lives of many, with his song 'Everytime' hitting 6 million YouTube views based more or less just on word of mouth.

Today he follows it up with 'Losing You', which continues in the same vain of open and honest lackadaisical love songs as he released previously. It's a tale as old as time, losing out on someone you desperately desire, but Boy Pablo makes every word seem as vital and unique as anything you've ever heard thanks to his plainspoken manner and youthful approachability. Aside from the obvious bedroom pop touchstones that resound from 'Losing You', Boy Pablo also shows hints of tropical music, 90s radio bangers and classic crooners within the mix. It's the kind of song that, despite the forlorn topic, immediately makes it feel like the sun is shining and makes you want to sing along; this is the kind of songwriting that seems preternatural and destined. With plenty of little production details around the big and bold melodies adding texture and layers to 'Losing You', it seems fair to say that Boy Pablo has plenty more potential to build upon the amazing start he's made.

'Losing You' is the first taste of an upcoming EP that the youngster is working on. You can keep up with him on Facebook for more info on that. He's also currently on tour, catch him at these dates:
