French-Canadian electronic pop experimentalist Marie Davidson has announced that she'll be putting out a new album called Working Class Woman on October 5th. It's her fourth solo album, and first for renowned label Ninja Tune. Working Class Woman is said to document her erratic and cynical mental state as someone living and toiling away in the modern music industry, or as she puts it “It’s an egotistical album – and I’m okay with that.”

The first track to be revealed from Working Class Woman is 'So Right', in which Davidson does not beat around the bush, immediately asking "sexual? Conceptual? Tell me are you sexual?" From there an incorrigible knock infects the song, allowing the subtle synth shades to pop and preen beneath her overtly charged vocals - "he's got me feeling so right." 'So Right' soon flourishes into an outwardly snapping techno-pop banger, Davidson's words coming quick and slow, dancing about the tricky electronic assault course she's set for herself through her synth composition.
