Mint Field are a couple of 21 year old women from Tijuana, Mexico, who channel that country's love of the spiritual into something genuinely supernatural. They released a debut EP in 2015, but will return in February with their debut album Pasar De Las Luces. It was recorded in Detroit, and this time out they admit they "had a much clearer idea of what [they] wanted and had the tools to make it."

That certainly rings true when listening to the lead single 'Ojos En El Carro', a patient and looming track that trades in sonic shadows contrasting with singer Estrella's pellucid voice, which hangs suspended amidst the gloom. Over the song's 5-and-a-half minutes there is a barely perceptible build until it all comes raining down in a Slowdive-esque haze at the denoument - utterly cathartic. Listen to 'Ojos En El Carro' below.

Mint Field's debut album Pasar De La Luces will be released on February 23rd via Innovative Leisure Records. Follow them on Facebook / Instagram / Twitter.
