With two smash hits having already been released from the forthcoming Be The Cowboy ('Geyser' and 'Nobody'), Mitski is giving us one final teaser before its release next Friday, August 17th. The third single is 'Two Slow Dancers', which is set to be the final track on the album, and as such is a stately and slow ballad, full of memorable and lingering imagery.

"Does it smell like a school gymnasium in here? It's funny how they're all the same," begins Mitski over spare organ, immediately setting us vividly in a scene of a high school reunion. From there she conjures an even more intimate scenario; the meeting of two former lovers, wishing they could be young again, but admitting their age: "the ground has been slowly pulling us back down/ you see it on both our skin." However, in this moment of reconnection, they find themselves living outside of time, reinbahiting their former selves: "two slow dancers, last ones out." The strings swell, the organ ascends, Mitski mines the passion one final time and the credits roll over this idyllic image in this perfect moment - no thoughts about the past or future can pervade this bubble in time.
