Psychic Markers put out their debut album Scrapbook .1 in 2014, and have since then been touring, bonding, working and have now finally announced that their second album will be arriving in February via Bella Union.

To herald this exciting news they have released the new single and title track of the album 'Hardly Strangers', a 6-minute excursion through sonic wilderness leading into a full-on space-rock sprint. 'Hardly Strangers' shows off how the band have developed as a songwriting unit in their years of touring and writing together, being their biggest and most accomplished work to date. The track title 'Hardly Strangers' could be applied to the quintet, who say that they have "an unwritten understanding between ourselves... If something doesn’t feel right for the band, we lose it."

That musical chemistry is on sharp display here, as washes of atmospheric electronics and production wizardry whirl their way around the central propulsive energy provided by the guitars and percussion, giving the mini-epic a fleetness that makes its 6 minutes an easily replayable delight.

Psychic Markers' new album Hardly Strangers will be released on February 23rd via Bella Union, and they will be playing an album release show at The Victoria in London on March 8th. For now, follow them on Facebook.
