Rae Morris has revealed the colourful video to accompany her new single ‘Atletico’, premiered by The Fader. The Noel Paul directed clip sees Rae arrive bewildered on the streets of New Orleans before fully embracing the city’s vibrant sights, sounds and people. ‘Atletico’ showcases the singer/songwriter’s uplifting and ethereal vocal while also demonstrating her newfound electro-pop sensibilities.

Rae had to say of the video:

“In this video I’m a solo soul-searcher. New Orleans was the perfect place for this video because it’s such a  joyous city with the most infectious energy. That’s exactly what Atletico is about - having too much energy and not knowing what to do with it.”

‘Atletico’ is lifted from the forthcoming sophomore album Someone Out There, released 02/02/2018. The record marks a stark sonic shift for the Blackpool native, seeing Rae hone her craft as a true creative force, with input in all creative aspects of the album, from the lyrics and music, to the imagery and artwork, music videos and production. Bold and ambitious, the record focuses in on complex, electronic elements, marrying perfectly with Rae’s soaring and ethereal vocals, with production from Fryars, Ariel Rechtshaid (HAIM, Adele), My Riot (London Grammar, Bloc Party, RHODES), Fred Gibson (Brian Eno, RAYE, M.O., Stefflon Don), Buddy Ross (Frank Ocean) and Starsmith (Jess Glynne, Clean Bandit, Kwabs, Ellie Goulding), as well as mixing from Dan Grech (Halsey, Wolf Alice, Lana Del Ray, Regina Spektor).

She has also announced her biggest UK headline tour for over 18 months, which will take place in March 2018. Kicking off in Newcastle on 15th March, the run of live dates then takes in Glasgow, Manchester, Portsmouth, Oxford, Birmingham, Nottingham, Bristol and Brighton, finishing up at London’s Heaven on the 28th March 2018. Tickets are available on general sale this Friday (8th December).
