Salami Rose Joe Lewis is a Bay Area musician and scientist, and she has signed to Brainfeeder for the release of her new material. That starts this week with new single 'Nostalgic Montage', a song that she hopes "resonates with existential questions about home, identity, future, and self awareness.” She goes on to say “I remember the first time listening to George Clinton as a kid... It was as if a portal to a new dimension of existence opened up. If in my career, I can even come a tiny bit close to opening up dimensions for listeners, I will be a happy human!”

'Nostalgic Montage' does both what the title suggests, and what its creator hopes, by dabbling in soft-focus production that twinkles and thrums as though up-close but untouchable. Salami Rose's voice in front and centre, but somehow is not the focus, acting as just another curtain-like layer in the song's wavering soundbed, playful and evocative. 'Nostalgic Montage' is a captivating listen, suggesting infinite depth into which you could lose yourself - and promises much more to come from the artist as she moves forward in her new partnership with Brainfeeder.
