London-based post-punks Sauna Youth have announced the release of their new album Deaths, due September 7th on Upset The Rhythm. Deaths follows 2012's Dreamlands and 2015's Distractions, completing their trilogy of albums.

The band booked their studio time 5 months in advance, with absolutely no songs written, therefore forcing themselves to get together weekly to hammer them out before they had to record. This has added a new level of urgency to their already frenetic sound, as evidence by Deaths' opening track and lead single 'Percentages'. The song is only 83 seconds, but needs only that much time to send darts of dissatisfaction flying viciously out of its windmilling guitars. Frustrated and sardonic, Boon's lyrics touch on a political climate where figures are more important than people, and the band's frantic post-punk embodies the anger as it buffers furiously forth, pushing the ideas into the face of the listener. 'Percentages' shows that even though the current climate can grind us down to seeming apathy, there is still a fighting and fiery spirit ready to rise up within us. As an album opener and lead single, it's a signal of intent from the London band coming into album three.
