Scott Xylo is a musician of Jamaican descent based in the East Midlands, who in the past year has been garnering praise for his low-key productions by tastemakers like Gilles Peterson, Kojey Radical and Stones Throw’s MNDSGN. Today he announces his signing to cult label Black Acre with the new track 'Ariya'.

The new track boasts Afronaut Zu, Catherine Sera and Marcus Joseph as features, but to pick out their individual contributions is fruitless and anathema to the communal vibe of the song. Scott Xylo immmediately sets a mood in 'Ariya', with shuffling beats and clicks underpinning a sashaying keyboard melody over which his soulful voice gallops and skips, welcoming one and all to a sunshine street party in gregarious terms. Sliding further on down into the song, we melt on the sidewalk under the scorching heat and blissful beats, being treated to swaying hips, suggestive guest vocals and even a sultry sax solo to top it all off. Go get blissed out with Scott Xylo and his crew in 'Ariya' below.
