Norway's Spielbergs are a band we've been excited about for a little while, and they come into 2019 full of rocket fuel as we approach the release of their debut album This Is Not The End, coming out on February 1st. They've kick-started the year by pushing out the album's opening track 'Five On It'.

Much like their previous output, Spielbergs' new track finds the balance between hopelessness and an undying perseverance. They may sound wobbly and bereft as they announce "what do I know?/ What do I care?" in the seasick chorus, but, as ever, their emphatic guitar-bass-drum burst pushes them onwards. 'Five On It' ends up stretching and warping that central hopelessness until it is misshapen and meaningless, allowing Spielbergs to trample it into the ground and power on through. Spielbergs' This Is Not The End comes out on February 1st through By The Time It Gets Dark. They'll be arriving in the UK shortly after for a headline tour, catch them at one of these dates:
