Bethesda, Maryland post-rock vets Trans Am have been amiably meandering through just about every niche since the mid-90s. Known perhaps more for their penchant to throw electronics in the mix, the three-piece band turned the strings a bit for this version of 'I'll Never'.

The scouring 'Alternate Version' feels more Brit-Pop than dance pop, hitting a striking resemblance of Psycho Candy-era The Jesus And Mary Chain. The fuzzy guitars ebb and bleed between Nathan Means' charming vocals and the hushed "oohhs" of the chorus, hitting on a more romantic than distorted note.

Volume X will be released in the UK August 11th on the band's longtime label Thrill Jockey. Listen to the Alternate Version of 'I'll Never' below.
