Stage director Kenny Leon, who's previous work includes A Raisin In The Sun and Fences, will helm an upcoming stage project based on a book by Todd Kriedler inspired by posthumous rapper Tupac Shakur.

Tony award-winning choreographer Wayne Cilento, who lent his talents to the productions of Wicked and The Who's Tommy, has also signed onto the project entitled Holler If Ya Hear Me. Together, the team will produce a non-biographical story which centers around a group of friends growing up in a Midwestern U.S. city.

The show is set to premiere during the 2013-14 Broadway season.
