Okay, so this probably would have been amazing. George Lucas originally wanted Tupac to take the role of Mace Windu in Star Wars: Episode I. Much like Ol' Dirty Bastard, Shakur also wanted to strengthen his acting chops and Lucas wanted to help him out with the possible donning of Jedi robes. Shakur's former collaborator, Rick Clifford, said that he was supposed to read for the role of Mace Windu in Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace: “[Tupac] was telling me that he was supposed to read for George Lucas and [Lucasfilm]. They wanted him to be a Jedi.” Unfortunately, he passed away before he was able to audition, so Samuel L. Jackson got the role.
