It's been a long three years since we've heard some new music from Scotland's Twin Atlantic, but they're back and ready to kick some ass with their new album Great Divide. It was produced by both Jacknife Lee who's worked with the likes of U2 and REM and their longtime collaborator Gil Norton. They spent most of those three years on the road playing over 300 gigs, so it's not surprising that most of Great Divide was written on the road; vocalist Sam McTrusty was inspired by the crowds that had gathered for those shows and their energy, saying "Our adrenaline was through the roof because, for the first time, thousands of people had come to see us. You can’t hear 10,000 people singing a chorus back at you and not be changed by it."

Lead single 'Heart and Soul' is a prime example of that energy - from the first guitar riffs to when the bombastic drums kick through sing-along choruses and beyond, it's a massive song that's going to skyrocket the band into the rock and roll stratosphere. If you want to see how the track translates live, you can catch them at T in the Park, Reading & Leeds, and The Great Escape. They've also just announced a fan exclusive intimate show at the Boston Arms on 14th May, and fans can win the chance to purchase tickets at their website. Check out the tracklisting and stream 'Heart and Soul' below.

Great Divide is out on 18th August via Red Bull Records.
