Yesterday, 17th March, at SXSW it was announced that Twitter will be teaming up with music app Rhapsody. The pairing will offer exclusive in-app streaming on Twitter from things shared via Rhapsody; although only actual members of the streaming service will be able to share tracks on Twitter, anybody will be able to hear what's being shared in full.

The streams will only work inside Twitter, in full at least, with morsels from Rhapsody shared outside the social media service opening up a 10-second preview instead.

This arrives after the announcement last year that Twitter's ill-fated Twitter #Music service was being discontinued.
