As you may or not know Union Chapel and Arctic Circle have announced another Marginalised concert for this year. Taking place on Sunday October 24th the Marginalised: Songs of Love and Loss concert is a special one-off event that is in aid of a very worthwhile cause. Hosted by James de Malplaquet (The Miserable Rich), Marginalised: Songs of Love and Loss, will take you on a special journey through music, words and images that will make you laugh, sing, cry and believe it truly is better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. Featuring - Emily Baker, Jo Bartlett, Alasdair Roberts, Dan Michaelson & the Coastguards, Cathal Coughlan & Robyn Hitchcock plus more guests to be announced. Marginalised, aims to create awareness of the issue of homelessness and helps to raise money for The Margins Project, Union Chapel’s in-house centre for the homeless or in crisis in London. The Project provides services and facilities to the local homeless, all of which are becoming ever more invaluable in the current ‘credit crunch’ climate, which has seen an increase in the number of people vulnerable to homelessness coupled with a decrease in funding.
