Van Dyke Parks has just released two very special tracks, which you can pick up today digitally, or as a limited edition 7'' single on December 2nd (via Bella Union).

Its first half, 'I'm History', addresses the Kennedy assassination, which became an obsession to VDP; for him, JFK represented a romantic liberal rebellion, and the very idea that "those to whom much is given, much is required."

"Had Kennedy lived to fill his term of office (as with his brother Robert and Dr. MLK), this world would be muted in its greed, search for eroticism of wealth, and the inevitable distancing of rich & poor," reflects Parks.

The other half of the single is a track called 'Charm School'.
