Celebrated alternative news magazine/media company Vice has expanded its reach after purchasing British style magazine i-D.

Music fans should be plenty familiar with Vice’s music branch, Noisey, an active and creative emerging music outlet. The company also added Fightland to the network, a portion devoted solely to professional fighting.

Vice company president Andrew Creighton, who worked with i-D’s advertising in the 90s, will keep the magazine’s co-founders Terry and Tricia Jones as minority owners. Creighton is also keeping the current i-D staff, and hopes to add more employees.
