Everyone's getting vinyl for Christmas. At least that's how it looks from here. According to the Entertainment Retailers Association (ERA), more money was spent on vinyl records than digital music downloads in the UK this past week.

Consumers reportedly spent £2.4 million on vinyl, while downloads followed behind with £2.1 million. Last year, during the same period, brought in £1.2 million on vinyl and £4.4 million digital.

There's some contributing factors here like Black Friday deals and the fact that vinyl is much more expensive. But either way, it's an interesting stat.
