The whirlwind effort of California outfit Wand is something to be admired. Among a litany of performances at home and abroad, the band will be releasing its third album (on its third label) since August of 2014 with the brand new 1000 Days, courtesy of Drag City.

"Recorded in their hometown of Los Angeles and San Francisco," the band's press release notes, "1000 Days finds Wand searching in corners and finding extra texture via synthetic animation. The atmosphere is quicksilver and the space acoustic; as a beacon sparks electric, a cascade of hi-fi noises for everyone’s ears – raucous, impassive, inevitable musical expressions. The hope is to use your head, to escape the chains wrapped invisible around us."

Along with the announcement, Wand debuted 1000 Days debut single 'Stolen Footsteps', a methodical prog pop rush of akin to hazy MGMT with a hefty degree of promise. The band will also continue touring with an ungodly amount of dates remaining (far too many to list here).

Listen to 'Stolen Footsteps' below and pre-order 1000 Days today before its September 25th release.
