Even before the release of her sophomore album Big GRRRL Small World, Lizzo had already earned a steady reputation as one of rap's best figures representing body-positive lyricism. That reputation is readily apparent in her newest video for 'Humanize'.

The visual idea finds Lizzo and two models. Both women in the video are adorned in what appears to be soft yet sensitive spikes, deterring away uninvited contact from the attractive yet over-reaching male figure. Meanwhile, Lizzo's singing verses use the term "humanize" in two terms; the straight-forward one, treating those as equal principles, and as the pronunciation of "human eyes," being crafty and declarative at the same time.
