Lifetime biopics don't have the best reputation for being any good, but let's hope they put some effort into this one - especially since they're dealing with the King of Pop. On May 29, the network will premiere Michael Jackson: Searching for Neverland, based on the 2014 book written by the late great icon's former bodyguards Bill Whitfield and Javon Beard.

"He doesn't want to be the King of Pop. He just wants to be Mike. A normal American dad."

Professional Michael Jackson impersonator Navi stars in the lead, which is nice for him.

You can watch the trailer below if you like. From our side of things, we're way more invested in Taika Waititi's forthcoming stop-motion movie about the life of Michael Jackson's pet chimpanzee Bubbles. Sounds like it's gonna be a blast.
