This is the news of a documentary about lo-fi legend R. Stevie Moore. Titled COOL DADDIO – The Second Youth of R. Stevie Moore, and directed and created by Imogen Putler and Monika Baran, it will chart the story of the musicmaker and producer, who has recorded over 400 albums yet remains tucked away in the underground of the music world.

"We approached him after his gig in London last May," says Baran. "We have already shot a good part of the project and edited a teaser for the film." It's currently up on Kickstarter and is already (at time of writing) 70% of the way to its goal.

The trailer below features interviews with fans and supporters of Moore, including Mac DeMarco and James Richardson (MGMT).
