Remember when Chromatics provided the sounds for that MANGO ad? If you don't remember, or don't know, it was a cover of 'Girls Just Wanna Have Fun' by Cyndi Lauper. Back then it was thought that the cover would be released imminently. But that never happened.

Now, however, the song is getting a release as a maxi-single, and will be out tomorrow (6th November). The seven-track offering (tracklist below) will feature different versions of the Cyndi Lauper track: 'Girls Just Wanna Have Dub', for instance, and in particular 'Girls Just Wanna Have Some', the Ruth Radelet-featuring video for which you can watch below. It was directed by Johnny Jewel; it also turns out that Alberto Rossini (the director of every Italians Do It Better video) is actually Johnny Jewel himself. So there's a fun fact for you.

As for the long, long-awaited album Dear Tommy, who knows when that will arrive; there's still no news on the release.
