Run the Jewels are known for being outspoken on matters of race – Killer Mike himself has written a few op-eds on the subject – so they fittingly "take over the BBC" for a mini-documentary that essentially, in the context of the murder of Mike Brown, asks the question: "Do riots work?" The answering, according to Killer Mike, is a resounding yes:

"Post-riots, [Ferguson has] two new black city council members, they have actual advocates in the community now, and the police chief retired. So if it was argued that riots worked for Ferguson, absolutely they did."

The video marks the year anniversary of the death of Mike Brown, and references the subsequent riots and protests in Ferguson. Killer Mike and El-P actually performed in Ferguson on the same night that the grand jury reached the decision to not indict the police officer who murdered Brown – in the video below they talk about what it was like to be there, amongst other things.
