Young Turks have released a compilation full of musical goodness that the label must be proud to call its progeny (of sorts). Called YT2014, it is a run-down of the best that has come from the London-based label over this year; it features 5 tracks from 5 artists and comes as a CD with download formats available, too.

It's been a good year for this independent label. First off there was Sampha, with collaborator SBTRKT also present, featuring Ezra Koenig of Vampire Weekend. Newcomer Quirke appeared with a killer EP back in May. Jamie xx made a welcome return to all of our ears. And, of course, FKA twigs rose to extreme prominence this year. A nice little list of very good people. Young Turks are certainly doing something right.

There will also be a limited edition LP available, whose B-side will feature rare/unreleased tracks featuring the aforementioned artists, available from 20th January 2015.

And yeah, like I said in the title, The 405 is (we are) giving away 5 copies of YT2014 on CD. What's the catch? No catch. Just share this post on Facebook (you'll have to follow us so that we can see your lovely face) and/or Twitter. That's it.

You can, in the meantime, download YT2014, or you can stream it via Spotify or Deezer. And you can pre-order the vinyl.
