Cultural events creators Fairground London have teamed up with progressive event discovery site, Billetto, for a comprehensive extravaganza of food, drink, music, food, drink and more food. Sounds good to us.

Called Makers it's a one-day special that's gonna be taking place at Fairground London's temporary home: a disused office block in Haggerston. An interesting venue — also, I'm all for using un/disused spaces (paradox; also, what's the difference between unused and disused? Thank you).

It will be FUN; I can almost 100% guarantee this by the different areas that'll be dotted around the venue. There's the Makers Market, a bunch of stalls with everything including tweed products, a takeaway deli and illustrations, and Makers Lounge: workshops from tie-dying and paper craft to creating your own terrarium – plus a load of activities for children on the bill, too.

And that's just the day time. At night there'll be live music Theo Parrish with a 3-hour DJ set – with a sold-out gig the night before, this is the hottest ticket in town at just £10.

Also at the event is very cool purveyors of cocktails and vinyl records, Vinyl Me, Please, a subscription service that will debut in London with a vinyl-and-cocktail-pairing "listening station" – an interesting way to introduce themselves.

What is Vinyl Me, Please? Well, here's how it works:

"Each month you’ll receive an album on vinyl delivered straight to your door — albums that aren’t just good, but essential for any record collection. The kind of album that will grow old with you. You’ll also receive a custom cocktail pairing (recipe) and an album-inspired piece of art from one of our favorite artists."

So, naturally we're excited to announce that we are running a giveaway for these guys! You can be the lucky recipient of a 3 month subscription to Vinyl Me, Please. It kinda goes without saying that you'll need a record player (or not, maybe you just like to collect). Details below!

The Makers event is happening Saturday 6th December. For more info – prices, schedules, what-have-you – get yo-self on over to for more information. Grab tickets from

You can also catch Vinyl Me, Please hosting their own listening party at Pelicans & Parrots on 4th December with folk/indie act Field Division – check that out over here.
