The White House, not risking any chances with a public relations fiasco, have denied a statement Jay-Z made in his recent song 'Open Letter'.

In the song, Jay claims that he "Got White House clearance," referring to his recent trip to Cuba with his wife Beyonce.

While the illusion Jay plays in song has been apparently lost on some people, after being questioned about the lyrical content, Press Secretary Jay Carney explained to a questioning reporter that, "The White House, from the President on down, had nothing to do with anybody's travel to Cuba."

Carney continued to explain, "It's a song," after previously confirming that incidents like that are handled by the Treasury and not the President.
