When Louisville outfit White Reaper debuted its eponymous EP last year, the band comfortably wedged itself in an ever-growing legion of anxiously fun sludge-punk bands. Packed with blustering gnarl and bashed-in Husker Du-esque fury, the EP was feverishly fun, giving a preview of what could be the year's most effortlessly enjoyable new acts.

Not a year later, White Reaper return with 'I Don't Think She Cares', a poppish practice of practical garage thump, righteously blended with curiously alien keyboard elements. The surfer-vibe single is the first from the band's full-length debut White Reaper Does It Again on Polyvinyl Records, due out July 17.
