Make sure you head to The 405's Green Man hub for all the latest previews, reviews and features from this year's event.

Panda Bear (Noah Lennox - one quarter of Baltimore-birthed Animal Collective) is known for touring new material extensively before an album's release, and so you can expect his set at Green Man to be a showcase for tracks off his upcoming release, titled Panda Bear Meets the Grim Reaper. From recent live dates, only a couple of tracks off previous records have had any showing at all. Whilst we don't have a release date in sight, we've already had a taste of what's to come from various live recordings, as well as the odd leaked demo. In March of this year, 'Marijuana Makes My Day' found legs through a widely circulate YouTube clip, and it was the first piece of Lennox solo-work we'd had since 2011's Tomboy.

Never afraid to break the mould, 2007's Person Pitch was a record composed entirely out of samples worked around an electronic dance beat, and it set the base upon which Animal Collective's 2009 record, Merriweather Post Pavilion, would loose itself. The strength of Panda Bear's solo-work has always been impressive, especially given his myriad of other musical work. His live sets are a chance for both new-comers to his world and die-hard fans alike to enjoy his fresh sounds as much as each other. If nothing else: go see Panda Bear, become a tastemaker.
