Despite not even being in the same room together in "13 years," according to band member Jennifer Herrema, Washington D.C. rock duo Royal Trux will be performing a reunion concert later this month at the Berserktown II festival in Los Angeles. But, that may very well be all from the duo.

In an interview with NME, Herrera says, "I know for a fact that Neil [Hagerty] doesn't want to travel much, he doesn't want to play big festivals, so that takes some things off the table. But I don't know, it's hard to say."

On the upcoming show, Herrera says, "We've never been open to the idea of reforming and playing full albums but when Neil said he was down with it, I was like, 'Well, it's right here in my backyard, I don't really have to do much.' It wasn't a long, drawn-out thinking about it. We didn't even solicit it. It was just, 'Bam!', right there. It probably would have fallen apart if it was something that actually had to be planned."

The upcoming show is scheduled for August 16th, with Royal Trux billed first on its Sunday lineup.

The two have been keeping in contact strictly through email with no rehearsals as of yet. When the duo split as a band they also parted ways as a couple, but would go on recording solo ventures with label Drag City. Herrera has also begun incorporating acting into her work, joining the cast of Judd Apatow's 2016 Netflix series Love.
