Following the news of Reflektor being a double album, Arcade Fire's Win Butler has revealed more details about the band's new album.

During a preview of an interview with BBC Radio 1's Zane Lowe, the frontman said the double album has two distinctive sides, channeling a classic album feel. He also revealed that there are several longer tracks on the album, which reach seven minutes or more, like new single 'Reflektor'. Butler said that Arcade Fire wrote "50 or 60" songs for the follow-up to 2010's The Suburbs and how he thinks the new album, produced by James Murphy, will surprise people.

He said he likes the excitement of anticipating an album before it's released, which explains the drawn out build up to Reflektor. The full interview is expected to be aired tonight.
