There's a disparaging distance between what fans hear from Nate Young. As the center-piece of his more well-known band, Wolf Eyes, his presence is clear and pertinent, supplying vocals for most of the band's tracks. However, as a solo artist, he uses manipulation of movements and emotive progression to express often deeper meanings.

Usually under his properly-titled Regression pseudonym, Young uses distant electronics to convey the point. Jarring and emotionally vulnerable, the sounds used, like in his most recent single release 'When Nothing Works', resemble that of a nervous breakdown. The highs act as piercing bubbles with thunderous bass supplying the disturbing contrasts.

The tense track will be featured on Young's upcoming LP Blinding Confusion, which will be released June 25th on NNA Tapes. Check the track out below.
