Occupying a strange space where doo-wop (you know, the kinda sounds that you'd imagine to be playing at early '60s proms towards the end of the night), indie and experimental collide - this is California-based Yalls with 'DC'.

It's a place where cutesy synths bulge over bubbly noises, with a happy-go-lucky bassline providing the foundations alongside thin slices of guitar and aching faraway vocals that mix wonderfully for an endearing, almost miniature, sound, speckled with thin beats towards the end.

This track comes from the first full-length album by Yalls, United, scheduled for release on 6th May via Gold Robot Records; and if this was anything to go by, it's going to be a real nice treat.
