In an odd combination that actually makes a bit of sense, Yoko Ono has teamed up with Kim Gordon and Thurston Moore of Sonic Youth to release a 14 minute song titled 'Early in the Morning' for charity.

The single is out now in a digital format and it'll be released on June 19th on iTunes and Amazon. Also, the song will be released as a 10'' on the same day in the US and on July 3rd in the UK. All proceeds will go to Ashinaga Rainbow Houses, which is building a Rainbow House in the Tohoku region of Japan for the victims of the tragic March 2011 tsunami.

Also, Ono is releasing an illustrated story she created at the young age of 19 by the name of An Invisible Flower via Chimera Library/Chronicle Books and for more information, click here.
