English duo Amethysts have returned with a brand new video for their recent single, 'Be There', featuring bandmates Clarice and Simon in low lights, expressing heartache in their glances. The band may have an affinity for violets, but this song is decidedly colder, referencing blues in the lyrics and in the crisp light of the clip as well. But the song is invigorating, having come from a place of untarnished admiration and love.

“‘Be There’ explores and conveys the passion and ambition in us both, lyrically and musically. Clarice took to writing the lyrics from an optimistic yet emotional place hoping it would help to self-heal during a personal family affair. After an evening of jamming, its 6/8 time signature and catchy vocal line just fell into place within a few hours.” - Amethysts

Amethysts have called 'Be There' a “statement of intent for 2018.” Fans should be excited about the momentum they are building on the backs some carefully executed new tracks, and visuals as well. Though there is not yet a promise of an album, the promise of a steady career should be reason enough to keep Amethysts at the forefront.
