When the value of the pound goes down, Apple prices rise. And now, because of that fun little fact, Mac and iOS apps from the UK App Store will raise their price by nearly 25% to reflect the poor pound that has collapsed following the vote to leave the European Union.

An app that costs $0.99 in the US used to cost £0.79 in the UK, but will now rise to £0.99, to reflect the fluctuating exchange rate. "When foreign exchange rates or taxation changes, we sometimes need to update prices on the App Store," Apple told app developers in an email. Expect the new changes over the next few days.
