In another of many, many end of year lists from magazines and blogs and sites and technological entities, YouTube has joined in with their most watched (what they call "top trending" for some reason) videos of 2014.

Katy Perry's Egyptian-style video for 'Dark Horse' tops the charts for both UK and global views. However, if you can tell anything at all from this pretty uninspiring list, it's that the UK has a little bit of a penchant for dance music when it comes to YouTube videos – something that's entirely missing from the global chart. This includes the very nice 'Waves' by Mr Probz, Sigma's 'Nobody To Love' and, of course the one-take dance-sensation of a video for 'Hideaway' by Kiesza, amongst a few others.

Globally, it's meh-level pop all round. Mehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.

Aaaaanyway, check out that list below. You can probably already see it with your eyes.
