After the announcement that Zynga was laying off 520 employees (Approx 18% of their global workforce), the social gaming giant has brought about the closure of studios in New York, Dallas and Los Angeles with developer OMGPOP feeling the cut as well.

Tweet’s from OMGPOP have been somewhat positive on the whole experience: 'While this is the last day at @zynga for many @omgpop staff, we want to thank you for all love and awesomeness over the years!'

However, not everyone was happy with the closure, with former VP Ali Nicolas tweeting, 'I learned via Facebook I was laid off today and @OMGPOP office is closed. Thanks @zynga for again reminding me how not to operate a business.'

Zynga originally paid $200,000,000 for OMGPOP last year.
