Ever been to an Atlas Sound gig and thought about asking Bradford Cox for a request? Well our advice is don’t act on those thoughts, not unless you fancy being invited to strip down to your pants on stage, while the Atlas Sound frontman embarks on an hour long rendition of ‘My Sharona’. Don’t worry though, Cox didn’t spend the entire hour looping the 1970’s classic by the Knacks, no instead he took it upon himself to talk about “the death of folk and the birth of punk” over the legendary guitar riff, referencing Jackson Pollock and Mark Rothko. Cox ended the 60 minute musical middle finger to the heckler saying “this is what happens when you make requests.”
