To say that things happened quickly for Grizfolk would be a massive understatement.

The band came to be in the sun-drenched city of Los Angeles, but its members are from two entirely different continents. Vocalist Adam Roth moved from Florida to start a new life in LA around the same time that his now fellow bandmates Sebastian Fritze and Frederik Eriksson traversed across the ocean from Sweden - "I'm guessing this is home now..." Roth sings on 'Vagabonds', no doubt a sentiment that rang true for all three of them after making such a huge move. Once they came to SoCal, they joined up with Brendan James and Bill Delia, rounding out their lineup.

From there, things started to heat up almost immediately. Their tunes were picked up from the hugely influential LA radio station KCRW with only their single 'The Struggle' out in the world thus far, and they landed on countless "Artist To Watch" lists for the year. From there they released their debut EP From the Spark and that was more than enough to get them a gig that tons of bands would dream of - they were hand-picked to open for chart-topping indie rockers Bastille on their 2014 arena tour. One glance at their iTunes or YouTube comments makes it look like the trek has paid off, too - almost all of them are people saying they fell in love with their anthemic, lyrically sharp, and hook heavy sound at one of their gigs with Bastille.

As someone who recently transplanted to Los Angeles myself, I can tell you that Venice Beach is every bit as cool as you think. In their new video, you can get a glimpse of just how sweet it really is as the band hang out at the famous Venice Beach skatepark, chill with some seriously cute pups, and walk along the picturesque shoreline. They give you some even more insight into how the band came to be as well, talking about how they came up with the 'Grizfolk' moniker and pull you into the studio with them as they record.

After the 'Venice' video are their forthcoming tour dates, including a newly announced gig in Los Angeles with The Knocks and RAC - the latter of which just remixed their new single 'Hymnals' that shot to number 1 on the Hype Machine charts in addition to putting his spin on 'The Struggle'. It's also gotten a pretty stellar remix from one of our favorite new producers, Saint Pepsi, which you can check out at Grizfolk's SoundCloud.
