It's not often we get submissions from 7-pieces, not least one that sounds as good as Norwich classical-pop ensemble Wooden Arms. Their most recent single 'December' is comprised of ethereal female harmonies and unaffected lead vocals which cut deep into the marrow, sublime in their simplicity. December ascends through angular trip-hop drums and brass melodies which fall into a maudlin, macabre march, producing a song that is bold, intricate and irresistible.
