Every year, Cincinnati, Ohio plays host to the MusicNOW festival which was founded by The National's Bryce Dessner and from the looks of it, has featured just about every huge name in alternative music you could think of. This year will be their 10th anniversary, and to celebrate they're releasing a compilation of performances from the festival's decade-long run.

Featuring songs from the likes of Fleet Foxes' Robin Pecknold, Sufjan Stevens, Justin Vernon, Dirty Projectors, Grizzly Bear, Andrew Bird, and more, it's a star-studded release that makes me want to head to Cincinnati for this festival immediately. Below, you can listen to the first cut from the release which is from Sounds of the South, a group that includes Vernon, Sharon Van Etten, Matthew E White, Megafaun, and Fight the Big Bull.

If you want to make the trek to Ohio for yourself this year, the festival takes place from March 11 - 15 and the lineup certainly isn't to be messed with. The National are performing alongside the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, Planetarium - a supergroup consisting of Dessner, Stevens, and Nico Mulhy - will be there, and so will Perfume Genius, Arcade Fire's Will Butler, and more. You can find out all of the details over at their website, and look at the tracklist for the compilation below.
