It's fecund times for purveyors of analog, organic techno.
This year alone has seen big and beautiful releases in this field from Holden, Hopkins and Gold Panda to from a tenuous narrative of fine contemporary electronic parlance - all possessing a rich, warm sound, a sound that would be in its element while hiding out in a dimly lit igloo containing a miniature dancefloor, slow smoking a fat blunt. Possibly.
Border Community starlet Luke Abbott is part of this non-existent club, and here we're super excited to unveil a special Plastic Platform mix he's created for us in conjunction with The Hydra. The Norwich-based producer has spliced together some choice techno nuggets in the mix such as the aforementioned Holden and Daphini; both of who feature in The Hydra's line-up in November.
The rather incredible looking night takes place at Studio Spaces in Wapping on November 23rd with tickets available from Resident Advisor - be sure to check out other nights from The Hydra for the rest of this year too. For now, download this mix and stick it in your ears and find your own igloo to get lost in for this 40 minutes.
